Menopause is a natural biological process that generally occurs between the ages of 40 and 50 (some women may go through Menopause earlier due to a Hysterectomy or sometime after Chemotherapy). Menopause is the time when menstrual periodsstop permanently.
After Menopause, the ovaries produce poor levels of hormones such as estrogen and progesterone.
The ovary has a hormonal and a reproductive function, and in its hormonal process, it secretes estrogens, and when these are lacking, the symptoms of Menopause appear.

Stages of Menopause

PeriMenopause: Perimenopause is the first step before Menopause when your usual menstruation pattern goes through an atypical menstruation phase, and you eventually stop menstruating. Perimenopause ends when a woman misses a period for 12 months in a row.
